Vintage Apron Organization

August 28, 2013 by Erin Leave a Comment

I have a thing for vintage aprons.  I have way, way too many, I could wear a different one every day for at least two weeks.  (But I actually never remember to wear them.)  I know, it’s just silly.  And who needs that many of anything?   But, I just can’t help myself.  I love the patterns and colors and fabrics.  I love imagining that some ones sweet little grandma wore them while she cooked delicious old school meals unsing recipes passed down from her grandmother in the home country.  🙂   They are just cool.  But, i don’t have a good place to display them.  Until now!

I used my Gecko Tech Reusable Hooks to hang them up on the back of my laundry room door.  Now, I can see them whenever I’m in my kitchen (which sometimes feels like all day!)   And I smile.  Hopefully I can even remember to actually use them now!!

Don’t they look so pretty hanging there.

I was inspired to hang more stuff up after I saw how clever my aprons looked.

I decided to tackle the kids backpacks.  There was never a great place for their backpacks.  All of the hooks and hangers around my house are way to high for the kids to reach on their own.  So, they just threw them on the floor or on the couch.  ARG!

Enter Gecko Tech® Hooks.  I put them nice and low and now the kids can reach thier own backpacks.  YAY!  Hopefully it will inspire them to actually hang them up instead of throwing them on the floor.  One can dream!

Gecko Tech® Hooks are so cool.  They are reusable.  Seriously, you can use them again and again and again.  They are made with a revolutionary new microsuction synthetic rubber technology.  They are NOT sticky.  They don’t damage surfaces.  You can hang them on mirrors, or tile or walls or stainless steel.  And they really stick, but without being sticky!!

The Duck Brand® makes these cool hooks and you can follow @TheDuckBrand on twitter for all kinds of creative inspiration.  You can also get your very own Gecko Tech® products at Meijer.  Soon they will be available on Amazon and Office Max, too.
