clipix

Clipix is a new and free way to organize your online life.  I have a folder in my reader filled with thousands of starred items that I never remember to go back and look through, because they are so disorganized.  So sad.  Sites like Clipix.com provide such an awesome way to collect and organize all of the sites, recipes, ideas and tips that you want to remember for whatever reason.  Clipix does this in a way that makes it so easy to go back and find exactly what you’re looking for.  

I love, love, love that there’s an option to keep each clipboard private as you see fit, with the customizable privacy settings.  There’s a drop down menu that looks like a little lock on each board that asks “Visible to:” and your options are …..only me, only clipix friends, or everyone.  I ADORE this feature.  I plan on having a board named for every person that I buy gifts for.  And now I know I can clip ideas of things to buy or things to make for them and they won’t see it!  haha.  I love it.  

I can clip things from all over the internet and put on their board.  I can put pictures of things from stores or pictures of things I want to make for them on their individual clip boards.  How fun.  

I also am really loving that with clipix you can use Syncboards to share your clips and clipboards with your family and friends.  You and a bestie can create a board together from separate computers in real time.  How handy If you’re planning a party together or throwing a shower or something like that!  

So far I just made the recipe board below to play around.  But I can’t wait to get started on the gift boards!

Another great way to organize your boards on clipix is the way they let you drop multiple boards onto another one so you can group related boards together.  So, if I had separate  boards for appetizers, side dishes, main dinners and desserts, I could drop them all onto another board called recipes.  haha.  So smart and organized!  

You can add clips to your boards from any device, even from your phone with the iphone app.  You can make  each clipboard your own and clip anything.  The possibilities are endless.
