My parents always take all us kids (and our kids) out to dinner, then we go to our church’s Christmas production. That’s usually a week before Christmas, then we spend one day (either Christmas Eve or Christmas, it goes back and forth) with my family and one with my husband’s family.

We are celebrating with our daughter and family the weekend before, which also happens to be my birthday. Then with inlaws on Christmas Eve and by ourselves Christmas day.

We usually have 3 separate Christmas celebration days every year, but this year we’ll be celebrating 4!

We decorate and celebrate all December by listening only to Christmas music and watching all the Christmas Feel Goodie movies we can and then to make Christmas morning extend a bit we play bingo and the winner of each round gets to choose a present (either one of their own or one they really want to give to the person they got it for). That can last for an hour and a half sometimes then a big extended family dinner.

We go to my parents home on Christmas Eve for dinner and gift exchange and Christmas day we go to my in laws for dinner and gift exchange. Then home, play with new toys, watch movies and relax.
