I did make the hobby horse out of an old sock that had I mentioned I wanted to try out in this post. It worked beautifully! As of this moment, I am a “no-sew” crafter (I do hope to remedy that soon and learn how to sew!!) All it took a little hand stitching, which I can do. It was pretty easy. The kids both like to play with it. The bird plays with it the right way, and the bean just likes to hit things with it. But, it is a fun little toy! Give it a try. The tutorial was easy to understand. When Lucie first saw it, I asked her what we should name it. She closed her eyes and thought for a moment and then declared, “Celery”. What a great horse name! I love it! Who doesn’t love celery (with peanut butter, of course!?) Or the classic, Ants on a Log!!
