Citrus Collagen Beauty Drink

You already know we loveNaked Nutrition around here. They have such good quality, clean products that don’t break the bank. I was excited to learn that they have a new Marine collagenand couldn’t wait to try it out. I have been putting bovine collagen in my morning coffee for years and have loved the benefits. I’ve noticed stronger and longer hair, stronger and longer nails, and better skin. But, I hadn’t tried Marine collagen before.

Interestingly, Marine collagen is made up of smaller peptides, allowing it to be absorbed more efficiently by the body. This high bioavailability ensures collagen reaches the skin and hair quickly, boosting hydration, elasticity, and strength for a smoother complexion and healthier hair.

For the past month I have been using this Marine collagenin my morning coffee and I have noticed the differences. My skin has really improved and I don’t feel at all bloated after taking it.  It also absorbs faster in my drink, it’s odorless and tasteless, and I can use less of it.

And now that spring has sprung it’s time to break out all the bright citrus flavors. This drink is just perfect. I love all things citrus and mixing oranges, lemons, and limes with all these other amazing ingredients makes for an energizing, health and beauty powerhouse. Plus it looks like a sunrise!

Citrus Collagen Beauty Drink

  • 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • a few cracks of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Manuka honey (or other sweetener)
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, less if using powdered. (I used the tube kind)
  • a splash of vanilla
  • 1.5 teaspoons of stevia or sweetener of your choice.
  • 1 scoop of Marine collagen

Juice the fruits. Mine yielded about 1/2 cup of juice. Add all the other ingredients and whisk. Pour over ice and add water to taste.

Optional: Occasionally, I have also added a splash of coconut or almond milk and it makes it a little creamy and a very nice treat. (Reminiscent of those delicious mall drinks from the 80’s and 90’s.) 😉

Good ice and a cute glass aren’t necessary, but why not!

This drink is just so tasty and energizing and the health and beauty benefits are a big bonus. Check out these amazing antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Oranges, lemons, and limes are high in vitamin C which is essential for collagen synthesis. They are also rich in antioxidants so they have anti aging benefits, help brighten skin, and are naturally hydrating which helps skin glow and look youthful.

Turmeric contains the compound curcumin, which has beauty benefits like reducing inflammation, improving skin elasticity, and promoting a healthy glow due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin and has beauty benefits like improved circulation, antioxidant protection against further damage, and anti-inflammatory properties that help with acne.

Manuka honey has beauty benefits too! It supports skin healing, promotes a clear complexion, boosts hydration, enhances collagen production, and fights signs of aging.

Ginger aids in detoxification, which is beneficial for the skin, promoting a clearer and healthier complexion. Ginger’s natural skin-brightening properties also helps fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

Collagen improves skins appearance by helping improve skin elasticity, hydration, and reduce wrinkles, promoting a more youthful appearance. Marine Naked Collagen naturally contains more Collagen Type 1, which is the best type of collagen for improving skin health, elasticity, hydration, and fine line and wrinkle reduction. Replenishing declining collagen through supplementation can help support a plump, hydrated, and radiant complexion.
Let me know if you try it. 🙂
