I was given the chance to taste two of Mikesell’s newest flavors recently and they were both right up my alley. I love buffalo anything and everything and the Buffalo Puffcorn Delites were no exception. First of all they are baked, so I like that. They combine the tangy taste of buffalo wing sauce with the light and airy Puffcorn Delites. They were fabulous. And they were tangy but not super SPICY. So, even my 4 year old loved them.
The second snack I got to try were the Cincinnati Style Groovy Potato Chips. You know I loved these. The world’s best chili …in a chip!
I love Cincinnati chili. We are serious about our chili here. There are over 180 chili parlors to go and get your chili fix in our fair city. It’s a very different chili than you might think of. It’s thinner than a Texas chili and we eat it over spaghetti or on a hotdog with plenty of cheddar cheese, chopped onions and mustard on top! Hot sauce and oyster crackers on the side. The spices in our chili are kind of unusual and different than you would expect, but it all works! Cinnamon, all-spice, cocoa! YES!
There’s nothing quite like a hot plate of chili spaghetti topped with a huge pile of cheddar cheese…..but these chips so a pretty good job of trying! They were very tasty!
Mikesell’s is a local snack food company headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. It was started in 1910 making it one of the oldest potato chip manufactures in the U.S. They distribute fantastic snacks to Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
These two new flavors will be available at major retailers starting in February and March.
