The Cincinnati Museum Center has an awesome exhibit that is fun for all types of sports fans and ages. The Science of Sports exhibit allows you to play and while educating you on the science behind it all. But it closes in a few days! Get there this week. It’s open until September 7th.
This exhibit makes competition fun! We had such a blast. The kids ran around and had competitions on each part.
You can row against video opponents in a test of upper and lower body strength and endurance!
Check out a specialized sport wheelchair and check your time in a virtual 50-meter sprint.
Test your skills on the balance beam and see how well you do trying a few balance moves without falling off.
You’ll appreciate the skills of gymnasts even more because it’s really way harder than it looks! (I fell.)
You can challenge someone to run a timed sprint against you and the shadow of an Olympic sprinter, A T-Rex or a cheetah.
There was a little dancing, of course!
You can see what it’s like to throw a ball from pitcher’s mound and you can also get the catcher’s perspective by putting your face in the window at the end! Bring the heat!
Try jumping to see if you can land softly like a cat.
They went on a shopping trip to see if they would find healthy choices from each food group to fuel their bodies.
There were incredible feats of strength!
They had such a fun time and learned a lot too!
Visit the skeleton wall to look inside the human body at the skeleton and body systems that make it move.
The whole exhibit was so fun and it’s part of admission to Science of Sports is included with a Museum Center Membership or an All Museums Pass, so you can enjoy the whole museum and check out the caves which are always a favorite around here.
