We love parties around here!  I mean aaallll parties!  Theme parties, big parties, small parties, family parties, holiday parties, Summer BBQ parties, parties for no reason.  You name it.  We celebrate it!  From the Kentucky Derby to Cinco de Mayo.

But, nothing is more beloved than the BIRTHDAY party!  It’s such a special day and I love to make it a big huge deal.

I love throwing big theme parties!  I really enjoy it.  I geek out.  From coming up with the perfect theme to scouring Pinterest for amazing DIY ideas.  Making the right cake, personalizing the invites, coming up with ironic theme-related food ideas, choosing the perfect things for inside the goodies bags and picking out the decorations!  I just love it all.  Even though I think it’s super fun, planning a big shindig does get overwhelming sometimes, especially because of ALL the choices out there.

So, I tried something new this year.

The bean is turning 7 and we had a simple, but amazing birthday party last week.  The kids had just as much fun as when I go all out.  Actually maybe more.  I had way more fun.  I got to sit and relax and watch them play!  And it was so, so, so easy.  I picked a day and a park.   My son picked some best friends.  I picked up cupcakes, snacks, decorations and candy.  They played for hours.  It was amazing.  They don’t usually understand all my ironic theme-related food anyway!  🙂

Insider tip.  Whether you’re throwing a huge, blow-out bash or a simple get-together with buddies.  Hershey’s new birthday-themed products will help create a special day.  The treats are individually wrapped and so easy to grab because they’re right in the party supply area.

You can throw them in goodies bags, use them for decorations, as prizes for games, put them in a piñata, put them in a pretty bowl for all to enjoy or hand them out as little thank you favors!

We used Twizzlers Pull ‘N’ Peel Candy as prizes for simple playground games.  And they played a lot of them.  Fun old classic games that I had forgotten about.  Good thing I had a lot of candy!

And my kids made cute little thank-you tags and we handed out Jolly Rancher Lollipops as favors…. instead of goodie bags!  So SIMPLE and sure to sweeten any birthday celebration.

All the kids had a blast.  And I got all of the supplies in ONE 15-minute trip to the store!  What?!  That is party planning bliss my friends.

The Hershey’s birthday displays are located right in the party aisle, (not the candy aisle) so they are easy to grab as you’re stocking up on your balloons, plates and party supplies.

There is no day more special than a child’s birthday!  Making your little ones feel extra special on their big day just got easier.  Planning Birthday parties with Hershey will help you out.  The new products are designed to fit any birthday theme. Get to the Walmart party isle and grab a few bags.  Enjoy your own party planning bliss!

Oh man! I cannot remember the last time I was ever really at a birthday “party”! ha! These days, I just go out to dinner with friends. It’s interesting to see how things change as we get older.
