the best pencil sharpener

I LOVE school supplies.  It could be because I’m a teacher.  But, I remember loving school supplies even as a kid.  Maybe that’s why I became a teacher!  Hum.  Who knows.  For the last 10 years of my teaching career, I’ve been an itinerant teacher, which means I travel from school to school during the day.  At some of my school buildings I have a room with basic supplies and at other the schools I have nothing.  There are few things more irritating than having a broken pencil and no sharpener in the room.  One thing that’s more irritating than having no sharpener is having a TERRIBLE pencil sharpener and a broken pencil!  🙂  haha.  I often get the discarded or old supplies and those always include pencil sharpeners.  I don’t understand why pencil sharpeners wear out so quickly.  (And then I get them.)  They’re the WORST!  Some are sooo loud.  Some sharpen the pencils so the point is half out of the wood.  Some sharpen the pencils so that the wood is sharp, but covering the lead.  Some eat the pencil right up to nothing!

I noticed on Pinterest that someone pinned this as the best pencil sharpener in the world.  I had to check it out.  They are from Classroom Friendly Supplies.  I was sent one to try out.  It’s true!  It really is the BEST pencil sharpener!!  It was so quiet and easy to use.  My sent my three and five year old kids to sharpen a pile of broken pencils and colored pencils.  They did it with ease.  And they are SO sharp!  It’s amazing.  If you have a teacher or home schooler in your life….they need this pencil sharpener!  🙂  Seriously.  Actually any mother of kids needs this.  There are always colored pencils and homework pencils that need to be sharpened.  I need one at school and at home.
