I really love to decorate a little bit for every holiday. It just feels so festive! I don’t have too much for Valentine’s Day. I picked up a few tea towels and a matching table runner at Target last year on clearance. LOVE THEM! Mine are similar to these, I guess they change them a little bit every year. I just love the colors.
And I still have this conversation heart wreath and this yarn heart garland that we made last year. I’m so glad both of these babies made it through a whole year of storage unscathed.
So, this year to add to our collection…. I made this.
I saw a few similar ones on Pinterest. One that I saw only had the family member’s names on them. And another one I ran across had only the conversation heart sayings on them.
I really liked the idea of using our names, but also wanted that “conversation heart” feel, so I added sayings and our names. 🙂 Win. win. I really like the way it turned out. It looks nice in the hallway next to our calendar and family rules.
What you need:
Wooden hearts (they are a dollar each and were 50 percent off – whoohoo)
Fun ribbon (I already had the sparkly pink – works perfectly)
Hot glue
Pastel paints
Pink alphabet stickers
I looked at real conversation hearts to get ideas and sayings. I noticed a few things…..they are always printed with pink ink. Always all caps. Always sans serif. I couldn’t find any nice pink stickers that were all caps AND straight. So, I got the closest thing I could find. It works. 🙂 And I like that I got a new Valentine’s decoration for 4 bucks! And I got to be a little crafty.
Have a great day.
