Who doesn’t love pudding pops? Yum, they’re even better when they’re homemade. The bird and I made a batch the other day. She thought it was the coolest thing in the world that I let her spoon it into the molds all by herself. I would have been much quicker and cleaner (maybe), but she was just so happy that I let her do it. The extra clean up was worth it. The hardest part was waiting for them to freeze!
We used one box of chocolate pudding. The recipe on the back called for three cups of cold milk to be whisked in. We had only almond milk in the house, so we used that. But, after we started, it turned out we only had two cups of almond milk left (clearly grocery time) so we ended up using a cup of regular milk from the neighbor. So, our recipe was two cups of almond milk and one cup of regular. The pudding turned out soooo tasty. A great substitution! We also added a dollop or two of whipped cream, because we had it and I read that it makes frozen pudding pops taste more like the real ones. And it really did!! They’re so great. We’re going to try frozen yogurt pops next.Obviously – after enjoying a tasty pudding pop is the PERFECT time to play with the chickens.
I can’t believe how big the chickens have gotten. The blue herons in your back yard are very cool.
Hey, we just made some pudding pops a couple of weeks back, too. Gotta love cold chocolate!
