I’m over at WeUseCoupons.com today for my weekly dollar store craft post. Come on over and check out this week’s project. It’s so cute and so easy. Plus, it only costs a few bucks and a few minutes of time! I think it would also make a cute gift.
I’ve made a few vintage plate pin holders that I loved but I gave them away as a gifts. You can check out my vintage pin plate tutorial here.
So, I was in need of a pin cushion for the craft room, and when I saw this adorable idea at DollarStoreCrafts.com I knew it was in my future. I changed it around to meet my needs. I used steel wool instead of the recommended cork or cardboard because steel wool keeps the pins from getting dull!
The original post on Dollar Store Crafts did mention an idea which I LOVE and will be doing soon. You can use cork (like from a coaster at the dollar store) and put it behind the fabric, but instead of using it for pins, use it to hold tiny prints of your instagrams! What?!?! How cute would a tiny bulletin board with my instagrams be on my office desk?! Very cute indeed! I love instagram and miniature things, so I can’t wait to make that. 🙂 But, this pin cushion is perfect for my needs. Hope you like it.
Come on over to WeUseCoupons.com and join me for the tutorial. Thanks.
