Well, it’s officially week two of the Omron Fitness Challenge through Mamavation that I’m participating in. Week one is OVER! It was a successful week, but a HARD one. I mean, I have muscles that are sore, that I didn’t even know I had! I lost 4.6 pounds this week and 7.2 pounds since the application day. Holla!
Here was my plan for the week…I wore the pedometer every single day, and found that it was just about impossible to get to 10,000 steps if I didn’t workout AND walk/jog/run. If I didn’t hit the treadmill every single day after I worked out, there was no way that I could get that many steps in.
I also did the workout all 7 days. We’ve been provided a workout schedule which gives us two rest days, but I felt like I needed to keep up the momentum. I will be welcoming those rest days with open arms this coming week however! It’s a pretty short workout, it takes about 30 minutes or so to complete. But, it is EFFECTIVE! I can barely finish sometimes. It alternates upper and lower body on different days. I use 8 pound weights and the kids toy box as a bench!
Feel free to try out our workout. Here’s our official #iheartomron #mamavation workout.

Mr. BookieBoo was so nice to provide the handy you tube video links in the document, so you can see how to do the exercises. (fyi – beware of the burpee video….the angles are silly and unnecessary and the comments are only about how hot the girl is! Geez!) (It does show you how to do a burpee, though, which are horrible forms of torture and I hate them! My goal is to be able to do one of these things without looking like a complete lunatic by the end of this! haha)
My diet this week consisted of mostly salads and proteins. I really tried to limit the carbs and grains. My husband joined Weight Watchers yesterday, so I’m sure this week I will be counting my points as well, since I make the meals! haha.
You can check out my other posts about this challenge below if you would like to follow along with me.

Yay!! Great job
WOW! Congratulations! Your loss is amazing. 10,000 steps is really difficult, I’ve sometimes found myself just pacing the house trying to get there!
Wowza~ Congrats on your loss! I need to get my diet under control this week.
Congratulations on your loss and for completing week 1! It sounds like you’re really enjoying the Omron challenge! I hope this week is another awesome one for you 🙂
