The kiddos and I made this for my dad for his birthday a few months ago. I’ve had the idea floating around my head for while. I saw it somewhere, but for the life of me I can’t remember where. A blog, a magazine – no idea – or I would give credit. But, I saved it in my brain to make someday. And here it is. It was easy and would be great for a mom or grandma for Mother’s Day.
First, I painted the canvas tan.
Then, I stamped the words I wanted “Grandpa is wrapped around these little fingers” onto white tissue paper and then Mod Podged the tissue paper to the canvas. I guess I could have stamped the words right onto the canvas, but I was afraid I would mess up.
Last, I painted the kids hands and helped them press it to the canvas.
Let it dry and covered the whole thing with light layer of Mod Podge. Cute. Easy. Fast.

I’m hosting Yummy Mummy Week May 9th-16th and I’ve got a great group of ladies sharing their tips on fitness, fashion, parenting and relationships as well as a giveaway everyday. And I’d love for you to share a story and some photos of how your life and body have changed since becoming a mom. The Link up party starts on Mother’s Day and runs the whole week.
Have a great week and Happy (Early) Mother’s Day!

I love this. I plan on doing this for father’s day. What size is the canvas? Also what kind is stamps did you use for the letters?
OH I am so glad. I bought whatever canvas was on sale at Hobby Lobby. I brought my kids with me so I could see what size would fit the hands the best. I used stamps I had on hand, but you could use any! You could even write it. 🙂 Can’t wait to see what yours looks like. Please share.
