We were so excited to have a day last week when it finally stopped raining! This has been such a crazy summer with tons of rain and chilly temperatures. A day with the sun shining and mercury above 85 degrees was a special treat. We couldn’t wait to get outside! We decided to round up the neighbors for a good old fashioned water fight!
Having an impromptu outside party with the neighbor kids is so simple.
Here’s what I had:
- Fruit
- Bubbles
- Water Balloons
- Water Canons
- Bomb Pops
See. Easy Peasy! Get outside and throw yourself a party.
To make this cute Bomb Pop inspired fruit tray, I used watermelon, white peaches and blueberries. I just placed the fruit in the rocket shape of a Bomb Pop and finished it off with a craft stick and whipped cream for dipping. Totally simple and it was devoured.
Have some bubbles on hand. They’re cheap and always a hit.
Water canons like these are about a dollar anywhere you go. And the kids played with these suckers for well over an hour! Money well spent!
Water balloons are awesome and the kids always love them. We used those new “fill 100 balloons in a minute” kind, like these, and they are amazing. The kids went crazy!
And we finished off the party with dripping wet kids and some delicious and nostalgic Bomb Pops!
Who doesn’t love those original red, white and blue Bomb Pops from our childhood. With their iconic rocket shape and three delicious flavors! Which color is your favorite? I love the white. I also love that I can pick them up right at Kroger, while I’m doing my regular grocery shopping.
