Sugar and Spice and everything nice.
Do you need an easy and delicious last minute gift idea? How about Lavender Sugar & Rosemary Sea Salt :: and a Free Printable? I just love making gifts AND receiving homemade gifts. This set of homemade salt and sugar is just perfect. I made the Rosemary Sea Salt and gave it as gifts last year. I enjoyed the one I kept for myself so much, I knew I wanted to do something like that again this year. This year I decided to make a set of sugar and salt.
And then Amy made us a fabulous set of labels!! She made them editable, so that once you download them you can enter YOUR NAME so that not everyone on your list gets a gift from my kitchen! 😉 haha

Lavender Sugar. A fun sweet treat. I’ve had the most amazing chocolate chip cookies made with lavender sugar. It’s also great in iced tea, in a cocktail or on the rim of your glass, in lemon shortbread or sprinkled on a cheese platter. Just search ‘lavender sugar uses’…..there are so many ideas and recipes to put it in, on the world wide web.
What you need:
- Sugar (I used course raw turbinado sugar)
- Lavender buds (I got mine here, but I’ve seen it at our local health food store and Whole Foods, too)
- Food Processer (or a sharp knife and a spoon)
- Jars or baggies (The jars are often half off at Hob Lob, making them only 1 dollar each)
What you do:
Give 1/2 cup of lavender buds and a box of sugar a spin in your food processor. (Some people like more lavender, some like less. It’s really more of a method than a recipe.) Put it in jars. Print a label. Give it away! It could not get any easier than that!
Rosemary Sea Salt. This salt is so great. I have used it on roasted chicken and vegetables. It is fantastic on popcorn. We sprinkle it on fresh tomatoes and avocados. It’s great on scrambles eggs and any egg dish. Good stuff. Try it.
What you need:
- Sea Salt (course if you are going to use a food processor, fine if you are going to mix it up by hand)
- Rosemary (fresh or dried)
- Food Processor (or a knife and spoon)
- Jars or baggies (The jars are often half off at Hob Lob, making them only 1 dollar each)
What you do:
This is going to seem very familiar. 😉 Give a handful of rosemary and a box of salt a spin in your food processor. (Some people like more rosemary, some like less. It’s more of a method than a recipe.) Put it in jars. Print a label. Give it away! It could not get any easier than that! If you’d like to read my original post making Rosemary Sea Salt, click here.
This whole process really takes only minutes so you definitely still have time make some before the big day!
Hi there…love the lavender sugar and rosemary salt jars. I’m wanting to print these which I can…I’m just wondering is there a trick to editing in order to put m y name in there…I cannot get that line to print at all but am also unable to even edit these labels. Sorry…bit of a novice here! 🙂 Appreciate your help! 🙂
I am so glad you love them. I just tried again and it worked for me. You click on the link and then you have to download the file. At that point you can click on “name” and edit it. 🙂 Hope it works for you! Merry Christmas.
Yes, thank you I was able to download them but now when I put my name in the box that entire line is a grey box and will not print. Ive tried several things in the editing files and even tried changing some settings but it just wont print! Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and yours as well! 🙂
