Simplify Your Life and Your TP

August 2, 2015 by Erin 1 Comment

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scott Tube-Free for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Toilet paper hasn’t really changed much in 100 years.  I guess they might put more on the rolls than they did when I was little, since we have double and triple rolls now, but there haven’t really been any “innovations”…. until now!

We saw a commercial for the new Scott Tube-Free TP a few weeks ago while we were channel surfing one night, and remember telling my husband what a great idea that was!  Genius!  He laughed at me, because who get’s excited about a commercial for toilet paper?  haha.  But, since I’m the shopper for the family, I noticed.  It’s not often that a TV commercial really makes me want to buy a product. But this one did.  So, I jumped at the chance to check it out.

Did you know that over 17 billion toilet paper tubes are used each year in the U.S.?  What the heck?  That’s enough to fill the Empire State Building TWICE!  How many belong to you?  Take the quiz and find out at Scott Tube-Free.

I took the quiz to see how many my family uses.  We use 19,420.  OH MY GOSH.  I decided to save up the rolls we used in a week, just to get an idea.  Yeah.  It was a lot.  Geez.  They are as tall as The Bean.  IN A WEEK!

I’m really excited about this little step. This simple switch can have a big environmental impact.  By eliminating the tube, Scott Tube-Free offers an easy way to make a change that contributes to a cleaner world.  And you don’t have to sacrifice quality to make this change.  This bath tissue is super soft.  It’s premium softness without the wasteful extra cardboard!  Win. Win.

National Simplify Your Life Week is coming up.  It’s from August 2nd to August 8th!  I don’t know about you, but as a homeschooling-work-from-home-mom-of-littles, I am ALWAYS trying to simplfy my life.  ALWAYS!  Who isn’t.  And honestly, making the switch to Scott Tube-Free is an easy way to do that.  Every part of the roll is usable and it doesn’t require any extra work on my part!  Love that.

Check out this Scott Man on the Street video to see how easy it is!

It works the exact same way as regular TP.  And small steps like this can have a big impact on the environment.  I love it when things like that come together.  And I don’t have to do anything but switch the TP that I buy.

It’s a quick, easy and environmentally conscious switch that any household can get behind.  (See what I did there?)  🙂 haha.

You can find Scott Tube-Free at Walmart nationwide and at Kroger.  Find it in a store near you by using the Local Retailer Locator.

But don’t go without this Scott Coupon!

You might as well save some cash while you’re simplifying your life and impacting the earth!  🙂
