I just can’t resist a party with a theme! We had so much fun with the Fondue Night we had a few weeks ago.
As part of the new Chick-fil-a Brand Ambassadorship, I was asked to create a couple of recipes using items from the catering menu.
“MY PLEASURE!”
For dinner we had Chicken Parmesan Skewers with Marinara and Balsamic Mozzarella Fondue! It was awesome! I used chicken nuggets from the Chick-fil-a catering menu. And it really simplified the party! I made the cheese fondue from scratch, so having ready made chicken was just awesome! I got to enjoy the party rather than breading and frying chicken in the kitchen all night!
And the same goes for dessert. I used a delicious fresh fruit tray from the catering menu and I didn’t have to wash and slice any fruit, which always takes longer than I think! I just chopped some chocolate chunk cookies (also from Chick-fil-a) made the chocolate caramel sauce and enjoyed the party!
And now onto dessert!
Fondue Part Deux!
What you need:
- Fresh fruit, sliced into large pieces (Chick-fil-A fruit trays are perfect for this)
- Chocolate Chunk Cookies (you can get these at Chick-fil-A when you are picking up the fruit!)
- Marshmallows
- Brownies or shortcake (optional)
- Sea salt (optional)
- Dark Chocolate Caramel Fondue (recipe follows)
- 12 ounces of dark chocolate melting wafers
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 2 tblspoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of corn syrup
- 1/2 cup of caramel (I used Chick-fil-A caramel sauce that I picked up when I was getting the fruit and cookies. Be careful…this stuff is amazing you might eat it with a spoon!)
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil (only if you are using a chocolate fountain…it helps it to flow. If you are using a regular fondue pot, omit the oil.)
- Pour cream, syrup and sugar into a pot and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Once boiling, remove from heat.
- Add the chocolate wafers and stir until melted and combined.
- Add the caramel sauce and stir until combined.
- Add a teaspoon of vanilla and continue mixing.
- Be sure that you have mixed the sauce very well and then pour into your fondue bowl.
- If you are using a chocolate fountain mix in 1/2 cup of vegetable oil before pouring into the fountain.
I added the rest of the plain Chick-fil-A caramel sauce (that I used in the chocolate fondue recipe) to a second fondue pot, BECAUSE I LOVE CARAMEL! And because chocolate is great, but I can’t resist the combination of caramel and apples together!

Love me some chocolate fondue…makes me want to run out for some of their yummy cookies.
Chocolate and caramel? YES Please! I love using the fountain with the kids. They have so much fun when we get it out.
I love fondue and now I think I need to organize a fondue night at my house SOON after seeing this. Yum!
YES! You should. Such a fun night.
Great idea to use Chick-Fil-A items in your fondue! didn’t realize they had fresh fruit.
Yes. Very fresh. Sliced several times a day. So delicious!
I love doing fondue but now that I can’t do sugar, I have to make everything myself. I am going to have to change your recipe around to suit me. I will let you know what I come up with.
Oh yes, please let me know how you change it up and how it goes.
Sounds like a fun night,i would love to do something like this.
Once I stop drooling on my keyboard, I need to get a fondue machine. It looks like everyone had a blast!
What a fun and Yummy way to enjoy dinner with the kids. I bet they had a great time.
ooo I love, love Fondue! We actually had a chocolate fountain at our wedding!
I have been to a wedding with a chocolate fountain! SO FUN!
The Chick Fil A Caramel sauce sounds amazing. I probably would eat it by the spoonfuls!
Oh yeah. It is GOOOOD. I may have eaten it with a spoon! (shhh)
No! Why did I have to see this. This looks so good! I love dark chocolate and caramel. The two together, yum!
I LOVE fondu! Especially cheese and chocolate. I bought my husband a pot for Christmas and it’s been getting quite the workout since then!
I am so disappointed, Chick-Fil-A used to be my youngest son and my place to go weekly – bi-weekly to have breakfast or lunch. We just moved and they do no thane a location closer than 400 miles away – I love them but that is too far.Your fondue looks amazing – their cookies would be perfect for that.
Oh man! 400 miles! Sooo far!
I have been toying with the idea of buying a fondue kit. It looks like it would be a blast. The added caramel is making me lean towards yes.
I am so in love with your chocolate fondue! That is one of my favorites for any special occassion, date night or family party. I LOVE chocolate fondue! Never thought about getting a chick-fil-a tray. We ADORE Chick-fil-a!
OH man! Me too. I love that place.
I would love to have some of that , it looks so good and so much fun making it. I want to do this with the kiddos
Look delicious! Any time I can add chocolate to food…i’m all in!
We bought fondue machine for Christmas and has been using it all the chances we get lol I love it! May try your recipe on our next chocolate fondue night! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Let me know how you like it!
Ooh, we love a good fondue around my house! That looks delicious.
I love how using the Chick-fil-A fruit tray takes the time out of chopping a bunch of fruit! And the chocolate caramel fondue – oh my goodness! My mouth is watering looking at these pictures!
Thanks! Yes, the fruit is so fresh and delicious!
Oh gosh I have not had fondue in forever I so fancy a nice strawberry covered in all too much chocolate 🙂 x
Now that looks like an amazing, fun night!
Pretty sure that fondue chocolate would make my daughter happier than most anything I could put on the table. She’s a chocolate fondue nut!
haha. Now I want chocolate fondue and nuts!
You put chocolate and caramel together like that and I’m hooked. This looks delicious and fun!
Oooh! I’d love to have a dip! It sounds like a great mini party!
Yummy!!! I’m a big fan of fondu 🙂 And Chick Fil A LOL
Fondue is so fun. We dont get to do it very often.
Having fondue night is such a great idea. I’m sure my boys would get a kick out of dipping their foods in chocolate.
Chocolate caramel sauce sounds out of this world. It would really be appreciated in my house. I will have to have a fondue for our next party.
That looks like such a fun night. You can’t beat fondue!
Great ideas here! I think by adding in some “pre ordered” foods you can cut down the time to get fondue night going!
What a fun way to get the kids to prepare a meal. Who doesn’t love fondue? Very nice and it all looks delicious
I have never had a fondue party before or been to one either! Looks yummy and delicious!
Can I come over for dinner? You are so stinking cool – fondue with Chick Fil-A?? Mom of the year! 🙂
The fondue looks divine… I could eat that all day long. The pictures are inviting too.
Wow this looks like fun! The Chef has been saying we should have one of these with our kids … I’m so ready now! Not that I had anything against it, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
What a great way to end your Fondue Night! Looks delicious!
