cheap date

April 24, 2012 by Erin 3 Comments

Thanks to everyone who entered the coconut oil giveaway.
I love you guys!

And the winner is…..

drumroll please…….

number 33.  Ann.
Congratulations Ann!
Please e-mail me in the next few day with your address so I can send it to Tropical Traditions and get your oil on the way.

Cheap Date (with kids)

I think it’s so fun to find a great deal for a night out.  Here’s one.

‘Kids eat free’ deal and $1 bowling.
4 people.  Total = $16

On Tuesdays our Chick-fila has kid’s night and you get a free kids meal with every adult meal.
So, that means the four of us eat for 12 dollars.  Plus there’s a cow and balloons and a craft.
And you can trade your toy or book in for an ice cream!  🙂
(did you know that?)
If it’s not too busy they will even let the kids come back and work the ice cream machine.
They are so stinking nice there!  Seriously.

Aaaand it just so happens that on Tuesdays you can bowl for a dollar per person at a super cool, old OLD SCHOOL bowling alley near our house too!

So, that’s a whole super duper date complete with……..
dinner, craft, person dressed as a cow, balloons, play-land, ice cream AAAND bowling
for $16 BUCKS!!!
Come on!!
That’s just plain amazing!

There are deals like this everywhere.
Just check out your area.
You can check here and here and here for kids eat free deals.

And if you would like your own fun FREE bowling experience…check this out.

My sister in law shared this with me.  Select bowling alleys around the country (and Canada) are participating in the first ever Kids Bowl Free program.  It’s designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, fun way for kids to spend time this summer.  You can register your kids and they each get 2 free games a day ALL SUMMER!  How cool is that?

There is one participating alley near us.  It’s not the super old school one that we took them to the first time, but I can’t wait to take them bowling again.  They had so much fun.  And two free games a day.  That’s just great!

Click here to register your kiddos for two free games all summer at an alley near you.

For my local peeps……
The old school one…….Florence Bowl
The one participating in the Kids Bowl Free Program……Super Bowl

🙂

My kids had such a good time.  They named all the balls.  Cindy and Surl were the matching, pink eight pound balls and Kevin’s big heavy black one was Coco Loco.  They cheered for the balls by name every turn.  It was hilarious.

“Go, Coco Loco!”
“Come on, Cindy.”
“Let’s go, Surl, you can do it!”

I mean seriously – how cute are those little shoes?!

(Um, yes, he owns his own bowling shoes – he’s from Wisconsin!!!!)
hahaha

8 pounds – he was determined to do it himself!!  EVERY TIME!

Yeah – my 4 year old and 2 year old beat me…..so what.
I was busy taking pictures.  🙂  Shut up.
