Last weekend was really busy. It seemed like we had about 17 things going on every hour. Here’s two of them!
First, I went to a cool bread-making class in the morning. I learned all of the things I was doing wrong and hopefully my next loaves will turn out perfectly!! It was a really fun morning with some sweet friends. We need to do something together again SOON! The company was great and the breakfast was amazing! Melissa was the gracious hostess and she made these incredible strawberry cheesecake parfaits. I will be making these for sure. They were delicious. She also had biscuits and gravy FROM SCRATCH waiting for us! It was awesome!

I reluctantly left bread 101 and headed to ‘Go Cincinnati‘. It was worth it. Go Cincinnati is a huge annual service project thing. 50 area churches work together on over 300 service projects all over our fair city.
There were more than 6000 volunteers this year!! The projects include things like gardening, landscaping, painting, construction and generally just loving on our city and serving others. It’s so great to step outside ourselves and work on something so much bigger than us. It was awesome. My dad was a team leader, so of course we joined that team. 🙂 We worked on the YMCA camp near my house. The stone pews were built in the 30’s and were completely caving in. The men worked hard and did a great job of restoring those. It was a great day!
Thanks Mom!!!! …. for watching the kids. 🙂 Seriously.
