We recently had the pleasure of going on a super, fun date night at The Market Buffet in Belterra.
Oh man. I just love Belterra Park!!
You don’t have to go just to play! Seriously, you can go just to eat!!
And right now, from March 1 – April 15, the Market Buffet is featuring Fisherman’s Keep!
SO MUCH SEAFOOD! You have to check it out. It’s a seafood celebration! For real.
Every night has a different theme and feature station and they all sound amazing!
Sunday : Oyster and Clam Bar
Monday : Shrimp
Tuesday : Surf and Turf
Wednesday : Catch of the Day
Thursday : Clam Bake
Friday and Saturday : All You Can Eat Crab Legs!!
We went on a crab leg night. Um, yeah, that was a good call!
Although, we’re crab leg amateurs and clearly didn’t know what we were doing. I mean, we looked around and people were pulling out these amazing, big, succulent pieces of crab and we were only getting embarrassingly, shredded bits. So, our sweet server, Siri, happily gave us a tutorial. And then we were pros! She was a great teacher and server.
Don’t be shy. Ask for a lesson!
Crab legs are awesome, but there is so, so, so much more!
Check out this extensive seafood spread!
Is your mouth watering yet?
And the attention to detail is just astounding. Right away, I noticed the gorgeous, red Le Creuset braisers all over the place! (And I would be lying if the image of myself grabbing one of those amazing, Cerise, golden-knobbed beauties and running out the door, didn’t cross my mind!) I feel like someone likely would have stopped me. 🙂
I mean, look at that dish! Presentation perfection!
If you have a seafood lover in your life, this is the perfect date night. There are so many choices and everything is prepared flawlessly. Chef Mike Inferrera invited us to go back in the kitchen and check out some of the action. The crab steaming station was truly something to behold. The restaurant goes through about 3,000 pounds of snow crab legs each weekend during The Fisherman’s Keep! What!?
Mac and Cheese from scratch. My kryptonite.
The chefs from Belterra Park and The Market Buffet source food locally, from nearby vendors and farms, which gives you plenty of reasons to go back to the buffet for seconds and thirds! The chefs were amazing to talk to and they’re each so passionate about their food and what they do. You can see and taste this enthusiasm and energy in every dish.
Seafood not your thing? They also have other cooking stations featuring a variety of international and American cuisines and even some Cincinnati favorites. They have handcrafted, artisan, brick-oven-baked pizzas and an amazing carving station featuring the finest Brazilian rotisserie meats. And salad. They also have salad. (The salad bar looked great, but I was clearly focusing on other things! )
Oh. Dessert. Yes. They have dessert. All hand-made from scratch.
The ice-cream is excellent. My husband tried a few flavors and declared it some of the best he’s ever had….and he’s an ice-cream snob.
Creme Brûlée!
The Market Buffet also has daily drink specials for lunch and dinner which include $3 bottled beer $3 glasses of wine and $4 Signature drinks like Strawberry Sangria, Margaritas and Southern Sweet Tea Lemonade!
I’ve eaten at Favorites Steak and Pasta in Belterra Park and that is sensational, as well. Check out my review of that here.
So many reasons to visit Belterra Park…. before April 15th!
