We recently visited Bonnybrook Farms. I had been seeing it pop up in my social media feeds here and there for a while and thought that I needed to get there this fall! Great decision.
This place is the best!! Have you been? Don’t we make it look too fun in our Corn Maze selfie? I’ve just decided that this is our new family fall tradition. (The selfie and Bonnybrook!) ha.
They have something for everyone!! Seriously.
Bonnybrook is a beautiful 370 acre working farm with fresh air, room to roam and run, fishing ponds, woodlands, tree farm, hay fields, grain fields, pumpkin fields, Todd Fork (the biggest creek you’ve ever seen), an old stone wagon road, white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, foxes, otters, coyotes and other wildlife.
And the Fall Farm Days are amazing!
They have Adventure Wagon Rides (with real life professional theater actors), A “Pick Your Own” Pumpkin Patch, Crazed Corn Maze, Giant Slingshots, Clodhopper Golf, Archery, Pony Rides, Petting Animals, Fishing and much more!
My family LOVED the fishing. Both of the kids caught two fish each! This was easily my daughter favorite part. (That girl. She insisted on taking her own fish off each time. And then only let them go after she pet them.)
The giant 80 foot slide in the middle of a hill was a huge hit, too. Even with Kevin.
Try your hand at Clodhopper Golf.
Or see if you can find your way out of the Crazed Corn Maze! We did. 🙂 Whew.
I really love that there are hints at the forks in the corn maze. We may or may not have used our smart phone on some of them. #ThanksSiri. Hint: You should take the Adventure Wagon Ride first and you learn some of the answers!
The pony rides and petting animals were awesome. There were chickens, sheep, donkeys, lots of beautiful horses and a unicorn (aka a goat with a crazy horn).
We loved the giant slingshots! I think we each shot at least 4 buckets trying to beat the others to getting the ball in the carriage.
My favorite part was the Adventure Wagon Ride!! It was so cool. I had no idea there would be actors on the trail. It was so interactive and well done. My son was chosen to keep a secret note until he met the general. So fun. He felt very important. Too cute.
My son’s favorite part was easily the Archery. Who knew? We were at this station for a long time and even went back again before we left! He just kept wanting to shoot. Loved it! He got really good at hitting the targets, too. Archery lessons might be in our future.
This place is huge, so leave a good amount of time to come out and experience it all. Bring some cash for the amazing farm fresh food in the Farm Kitchen Cafe’. I recommend the hand-dipped caramel apple with the best homemade caramel I have ever had in my life. But you can’t go wrong with any of the food!
