Yeah, we got a puppy. She’s cute and the kids love her. (notice I said “the kids”) haha 😉 Her name is Molly and she’s a golden doodle. A big, black, slobbery, golden doodle. She doesn’t shed or smell, which is great! She was already really big when we got her at about 6 months of age. I think being so old (not a little puppy) and moving to new home with kids kind of freaked her out. A new environment created stress. She chewed, soiled, whined and barked. A lot. All very annoying dog behaviors that I wasn’t ready to deal with. (It’s also quite possible that I am not a dog person!) 😉
I was sent Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® to try out. It seemed perfect. This product is a plug in. It is quiet and doesn’t smell. It has some dog appeasing pheromone (DAP) in it and is supposed to help manage stress related behaviors by helping them feel calm and comfortable. Behaviors caused by thunderstorms, fireworks, transitions, new environments or people, being left alone, night time whining etc. I am not sure if I saw a difference in Molly. She did get better eventually, it could be because she out grew those behaviors or it could be from the Comfort Zone® product.
There is also one for cats that helps reduce behaviors like scratching and marking. You can check out more on Comfort Zone® products Facebook page.
Are you a dog or cat person? Or nothing? People keep assuring me that in a year I will not be able to live without Molly. I’m looking forward to that day! Right now when I look at her I just see work. haha.

she is adorable.. i like the name Molly. I think you are a Dog Person and just don’t know it yet. Pet are a lot of work, we have a black lab and it is the perfect pet for the kids.. he is blind now, but can still find a kid to lay down by and get petted.
