Get the Girls Together

Getting together with the girls is always so much fun.  I love it.  Every single time we think, “Why the heck don’t we do this more often?!”  I’ll tell you why.  Because our schedules are all insane.  With kids and work and sports and family and church and school…..we just never get to it.  We intend to, but it takes forever.

The last time we got together for a girl’s night, it took no less than 20 e-mails, facebook messages and texts to get on the same page about a place and a time and day.  It was ridiculous.

So, here’s how we do it now.  Facebook Group and Poll!  It’s so simple and it really works.  Here’s how to make your own.

Step 1:  Log into Facebook and Create a Group.

Click on the Arrow in the top right corner.  A drop down will appear.  Find and click on “Create Group.”

step1

Step 2:  Name Group and Add Members.

A popup will appear and you will be able to choose a name for your group and add members.  I always make mine secret.  Click Create.  Then you can choose an icon or skip it.  Click OK.  You have now made a group.

step2

Step 3:  Personalize your group by adding a description and photo.

Or you can skip this part.

step3

Step 4:  Create a poll for the place you are going to go.

Where it says Write Post, Add Photo/Video, Ask Question, Add File…..choose “Ask Question”.

Type a question.  Like.  Where should we eat?

Then click “Add Poll Options” in the bottom left hand part of that box.  Start typing a choice where it reads “add an option”.  Add one place per box.  I like to click the box that says “Allow anyone to add options.”  Just in case my friends have better ideas than I do.  They usually do.  Click “Post.”

Step 5:  Create another poll for the time and day.

Do the same things you did for Step 4, to create a second poll for the time and place of your girl’s night.

step5

Now just wait for your friends to answer.  People can add comments and questions, too.  It’s fun.  It’s simple and it works.

Easy Peasy.    Look.  We made a choice!!

So, we went to Buffalo Wings and Rings.  We got a new one near us and none of us had been yet.  They have a cool new summer menu. We tried some of it.

The pretzel bites are amazing.  Really.  Deep fried dough with salt and cheese.  Sign me up.

Aaannd if you eat all the pretzels and still have cheese, they will bring you chips!!  WHAT?!  Yes.  True story!

I got the new chili dog with sweet potato waffle fries.  Clearly, I’m very excited about it.  It was great.

And you kind of have to get wings.  I mean, it’s in the name.

bwr15

Coke float?  Yes, please.

bwr6

Waffle Sticks with caramel!  Amazing.  Don’t skip these.

And as a bonus, for the new summer menu, you get a card and they stamp it every time you order something from it.  Fill it up and get the pretzels or the waffle fries for free!  (And those were my two favorite things!)

So go ahead.  Plan a girl’s night with your friends.

Buffalo Wings and Rings serves fresh food, never frozen, and has a chef on staff in the kitchen to assure quality.  It was really good!  Friends hanging out and enjoying fun atmosphere and good food.  Perfect.

Cheers to a successful Girl’s Night Out.  Let’s not wait so long next time!  🙂

And now I clearly need to find a tutorial on how to successfully take a selfie with four people!  Whoops.

We had so much fun dining and drinking and chatting at Buffalo Wings and Rings. What do you like to eat when out with the ladies?
