Smelling the art.
Smells so good!!
Whoops – too close!
Concentrating. She said she was painting chickens and a coop. 🙂
It was stormy and rainy yesterday – and I thought it was a perfect time to break out this idea. I had filed it away as something I wanted to do ever since I read about here at New Nostalgia. It was so easy.
All you need is paper, a paint brush, Kool-Aide packets and water. A muffin tin is the perfect container – but little bowls would be fine too.
Empty each kool-aide packet in one hole of the muffin pan and add a few tablespoons of water. Stir it up until dissolved. The bird had so much fun with this. She painted for almost two hours straight. She kept smelling her art and exclaiming “Wow!” It was cute. And it really does smell so good. Seriously. The whole kitchen smelled fruity. Also, the colors of the paintings are so vibrant and pretty. Much brighter than regular watercolor paints. I wonder if they will dull over time or how long the paintings will smell fruity. Well, anyway, it was fun and fruity. I like how they turned out. Be careful – Kool-Aide DOES stain, fingers, arms, clothes, floors, tables, carpet, noses…
