Man, I do love a good gallery wall. We’ve recently moved to a new home in the last 6 weeks and my old house had a perfect place for a gallery wall. The new place is more open with fewer walls and I’m having such a hard time figuring out where to put all my old beloved canvas and pictures.
So, currently, they’re all just sitting on the floor leaning up against a wall waiting for inspiration to strike me.
Also, with a new home, comes all kinds of new needs. For example, I didn’t have a bar counter in the kitchen at the old house, but the new house has one. So, I needed bar stools. It’s all these little things I didn’t think of. Moving is hard work. No joke. So much of my stuff is still in boxes. Uggg. I can’t find anything! haha.
But, the new house also has a nice master bathroom, which we didn’t have in the old place. We just love it and it even has a cool jet tub! So fancy! I was excited to make it a fun and tranquil place. So while the rest of the pictures in the house remain unhung and boxes unpacked…I concentrated on the master bath. Priorities! 🙂
For my inspiration, I decided to go with the best and most relaxing family vacation we’ve ever taken!! It was a week in Puerto Rico a few years ago. My husband and kids still talk about it all the time and we can’t wait to go back. That was it! I decided to go with Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams for the wall and different shades of blue for the accents.
And I knew I wanted to add a big canvas picture of our beach for the wall above the tub. So we can stare at it and imagine we are right back there! 🙂
I just love the way it turned out. Making the canvas was the easiest part of the whole design. I just went to The Canvas Factory, uploaded my photo, chose the size and shape and pushed order! That is it. It was on my porch less a week later! And it is perfect!! We all stare at it and sigh. Such a good trip.
The Canvas Factory makes online photo printing easy and affordable for everyone. They even have acrylic and metal print options!!! So cool.
A photo canvas print is one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give a loved one. And with Father’s Day coming up, I know that a canvas will make a sweet gift for grandpas and dads all over. (I know mine are super hard to buy for!) The Canvas Factory will even deliver it directly to the lucky recipient’s door. At checkout, just include their details in the shipping section and yours in the billing section. Too easy!
