This is a really fun breakfast for those lazy, summer days. In fact, these Banana Split Yogurt Parfaits would make a great after-school or after-pool snack, too.
This post is a collaboration with Produce for Kids and Meijer. All opinions are my own.
We’ve been super busy this summer. We’re always running out of the house to fun activities and classes at the parks and libraries and day trips here and there. And every year around this time, I think to myself….”Man, summer is really flying by. We should really do less stuff and stay home.” And so for about a week or two, we do! And this breakfast is perfect for those days. Leisurely days at home.
I surprised the kids with this fun breakfast just this week. They were so excited and thrilled. No cold cereal or toast on the run today, kids! It’s a DIY Banana Split Yogurt Parfait Day!
Making your own parfait is serious business! You have to get just the right ration of fruit, yogurt, chocolate and caramel. 🙂
So happy about breakfast today.
Cheers.
What you need:
- 1 cup lowfat Greek vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup caramel dip
- 1 banana, sliced
- 6 Well-Pict Berries® strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup Grower Direct® cherries, sliced
- 1/4 cup blackberries
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/4 cup raspberries
- 2 tablespoons Wonderful® pistachios, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon white chocolate chips
What you do:
-
Spoon ¼ yogurt into two glasses, drizzle with 1 Tbsp. caramel dip. Add bananas, strawberries, berries and cherries. Repeat layers.
-
Top with pistachios and chocolate chips. ENJOY!
And don’t think all of your washing, slicing and chopping will go to waste. Any of the fruit and yogurt that was left on the platters, I put in a baggie, threw in the freezer and it’s going to be an amazing breakfast smoothie tomorrow! #win!
