I got to try the new Vegetarian Chili at Gold Star last year when they first launched it. I’m from this area, born and raised, so, I’ve been eating Cincinnati chili since I was a little kid. You’d think I could taste the difference between the real thing and a vegetarian version. We all did a good old fashioned taste test that night to see if we could choose……and I FAILED! Miserably.
It tastes and looks absolutely just like the Gold Star’s original kickin’ secret family recipe. The flavor and texture are perfect. It’s meat, soy and gluten free so it’s ideal for vegetarians, vegans, the Lenten season, or anyone just trying to shave off some calories and fat in their diets. It’s made with a non-GMO pea protein as the meat replacement. And it’s delicious.
See if you can taste the difference.
You can get this vegetarian version on any menu item, just like the regular chili. Do you like your chili on a 3, 4, or 5 way? Or do you prefer a coney, a salad or chili cheese fries?
I always get the same thing….the chili cheese sandwich. With mustard and onions. Mmmmm. My favorite.
There are other amazing menu items as well! Don’t forget that Gold Star began as Burger Haven and some locations have brought those delicious burgers back!
And don’t even get me started on the Garlic Parmesan Fries. You must try them.
Would you like to try any of this amazing food? I get to have dinner with FIVE of you and your guest!
This upcoming special event will be Monday, March 5th at a central location in Cincinnati.
Five of you lucky readers can each bring a guest to have dinner with us and try the Vegetarian Chili along with other delicious menu items.
