We totally love our Children’s Theatre! We’ve never been disappointed with a performance in the many years we’ve been attending. I’ll be so sad when my kids out grow it. Maybe they never will! This season has been spectacular and up next is a classic that I’ve been looking forward to since the beginning!
The Wizard of Oz!!! Follow the yellow brick road to the Taft Theatre this February 11th to the 19th.
LOCAL 12’s Bob Herzog will be featured in the production as The Wizard, so you know it’s going to be hilarious! I just love it when he’s in the show. He’s so, so funny! Man, he killed it as Donkey in Shrek Jr. last year. He’s going to make a great wizard.
“A cyclone transports Dorothy and her dog, Toto, from Kansas to the technicolor Munchkin Land. Unfortunately, they land right on top of the Wicked Witch of the East — not a good thing! As Dorothy and Toto head down the Yellow Brick Road to find the Wizard and their way back home to Kansas, they meet new friends, each with a wish that they hope The Great Oz can grant for them. A scrawny Scarecrow needs a brain, a rusty Tin Man needs a heart, and a Cowardly Lion needs courage.”

Hi Erin! I would bring my favorite daughter (my only daughter, hahaha)! I’d let her bring a couple of her friends so that they could enjoy the show, as well.

I would definitely bring my 3 kids. WOZ has become one of their favorite movies just recently and we each have a part during the movie to act out. I am Glenda the good witch, My daughter,3, is Dorothy my son,5, is The scarecrow and my other son is the cowardly lion. We love WOZ.
