Why I Love My Blendtec Blender

December 17, 2015 by Erin Leave a Comment

I’m a sucker for kitchen appliances and accessories.  I know.  It’s silly.  But, I love them.  Sandwich makers, cake pop bakers, fancy pancake pans, bento boxes, my rice cooker, ice cream machine, my griddle…I love them all.  (Maybe it’s because I always wanted an Easy Bake Oven as a kid and never had one.  haha.  Whatever.  I’m not bitter.)

But, my favorite kitchen appliance of all is my Blendtec Blender.  I LOOOOOVE IT.  I use it almost daily.  I can make soup and smoothies and batters with ease.  I did a lot of research before deciding between the Vitamix and the Blendtec.  They are both pretty expensive.  In the end, I know I made the right choice.  (One of the many reasons I went with the Blendtec is because it fits under the counter, and the Vitamix is too tall.)

I saved up for a long time to buy it over EIGHT YEARS AGO!  And to make it even more affordable I bought a refurbished one from the website.  And it is still going strong all these years later.  That is a serious blender.

This thing is powerful enough to HEAT SOUP due to the friction the blades cause when spinning.  I can make steaming hot soup in three minutes without turning on the stove!  And I can use it for grind grains into flour!  There is nothing this blender can’t do.

I use it for a lot of things, but green smoothies are the bulk of it’s job.  It blends them so smoothly, you wouldn’t even know there are greens in there.  (except that it’s green -haha)  No bits, no chunks.

Have you seen the “Will It Blend” Videos?  Oh man.  They can pulverize an iphone, ipad, golf balls, marbles, and all kinds of things in these videos. The Blendtec IS a stinking powerful machine.

I love the pre-programmed Smart-Touch Tec-nology, so I can just press a button and walk away.  The automatic program cycle with fluctuating various speeds will stop when the program time is completed. SO smart.  I can choose smoothie and get on with life.  Like unloading the dishwasher.

I can also just use the pulse button which is great for chopping and mixing in additional ingredients without pulverizing.  Think guacamole and salsa.

Cleaning it is super easy.  Just add soap and water and blend!

It’s serious. I love my blender.  🙂
