As you may have heard, Disney Pixar’s Inside Out is in theater’s this week!
Inside Out is the story of the voices in your head. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in what’s known as the “Headquarters”, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school. “
Taking the kids to see a movie in the actual movie theatre is a pretty big deal in our family. We just don’t do it very often. It’s such a big deal, in fact, that it got added as an item on our family summer bucket list. We knew that the summer movie we wanted to see was Inside Out. It just looked so cute and we love ALL the Disney Pixar movies. So, I jumped at the chance to review two of the talking plush dolls. I knew they would be a sweet surprise to break out on the way to the theatre.
We didn’t tell them where we were going and suddenly, I turned around and told them we were headed to a fun place and then gave them the dolls. My kids freaked. They were so excited.
These dolls are adorable. The kids were thrilled to take them into the theatre and have been playing and sleeping with them ever since then. They have the real voices of the actors and the choices of sayings really let the characters shine through. They are so stinking cute. My kids just love them! We got Joy and Sadness and they’re hilarious. They are super soft and really well made. Sadness’ glasses and sweater are perfect. They say things like “I’m Sadness” in the saddest voice you’ve heard! Our favorite Joy saying is “Best Day Ever!”
TOMY Toys is bringing the rich characters and colorful personalities of Inside Out to life in the real world with its line of magical toys including Riley’s five emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust. The toys are character-driven, each showcasing the diverse personalities and distinct qualities of the characters in the animated film.

Inside Out is my new favorite Pixar movie! I loved when Dad’s emotions were watching sports instead of playing attention to Mom.
