We love our teachers!
I taught in public schools for 15 years and I always loved seeing what kind of treats were brought in towards the end of the year. It’s probably not the best for the old diet, but oh so good for the soul! I really felt appreciated when someone took the time to put a little thought into thanking us. It’s unnecessary, but it’s such a nice gesture. It warms the soul and just makes ya feel good.
Everyone likes to feel appreciated.
And, even though I homeschool now, we’re in a co-op and I stinking appreciate those ladies! They have worked along side me and loved on and taught my kids. I appreciate everyone of them.
So, on our last day of co-op, we brought in warm, fresh-from-the-oven, blueberry scones to say thank you! Because scones and coffee go perfectly together. And we always have coffee!
But, as I have mentioned before…..I AM A TERRIBLE BAKER! All the measuring and exactness and the waiting. No good. I am the worst baker, but I love baked goods. The struggle is real.
So, how did I make freshly baked scones? I am telling you. These COULDN’T be easier. They were Barista Break & Bake Scones. I found them in the refrigerated dairy section at Walmart. (They are next to the break & bake cookies and biscuits.)
They were delicious. So delicious in fact, that people really thought I made them from scratch. I came clean and told them the truth, but I totally could have taken all the credit! 🙂
I never knew these existed. But now that I do, I will be using them for more get togethers. They are perfect for showers, brunches, or any day really.
I also cut a few of mine in half to make baby scones. For people who just want a little something.
So, forget the coffee shop. Bake some gourmet scones for your favorite people.
It was so simple. Just break, bake, drizzle icing and enjoy. It takes less time to bake these babies than it takes to brew a pot of coffee. I went with Blueberry, but they also have Orange Cranberry and Strawberries & Creme.
(time to invest in a new pan)

Disclaimer: I was given coupons to try the scones for review purposes. The opinions about them are all my own.
The strawberries and creme sounds yummy! I would make a batch to share with the mom’s in my playdate group.
