I’ve been trying to get more organized around here. It was one of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2014 (and 2013 and 2012 and mostly every year since I can remember ….and let’s be honest, it will likely be sneaking in there for 2015 again!) It’s a never ending project for me it seems. Oh the paper piles.
And, now that I homeschool, there are even more piles to get under control. I have to keep on it or it becomes totally overwhelming. I’ve found a pretty good system that’s working for me so far. It involves lots of file folders and pretty boxes. One for every single subject and area.
It started with ordering some sticker labels from Kidecals. It took me forever to order because I seriously could NOT decide!! There are so many cute options and for so many different uses! Kidecals are personalized labels that are dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer safe! Plus they stick to any surface! You can use these stickers on clothing, backpacks, toys, devices…you name it.
I went with the cute green and white chevron print and customized them to go with all the different things I wanted to keep separate in my homeschool area.
I love the way my package came. So happy and fun. I couldn’t wait to tear it open. And the back says, “Drum Roll Please.” Funny! And there is a tiny version of my proof under the flap. Very clever. Look at my goodies. I am digging the colors.
I bought white cardboard magazine holders from IKEA. (They were five for $1.99!!) Great deal and it looks so good. I had a few green fabric boxes already, and it all works perfectly together. I LOVE the way it looks.
Here is my homeschool area before and after. 🙂 So, so much better!
I got to pretty up my keyboard too! I was really excited about the keyboard stickers. I applied them the minute the mail came! I have been enjoying them for a few weeks now and there is no lifting at all. They look great and are 100 percent reposition-able and removable. I messed up and a few were crooked but they are so simple to peel off and reposition! LOVE it! The letters on my plain black keys used to light up, but now the light doesn’t show through the decals. I do miss the light when I’m typing in the dark. But, I can deal with it because I love the ombre look of my keyboard now. 🙂
I’ve actually thought of a few more things that I’d like to label so, I’ll be placing an other order soon! haha.
If you sign up for their newsletter, you get 15 percent off your order! That’s a great discount. And they also have free shipping for all orders, always!
