Frozen Makes Life Easy

August 1, 2014 by Erin 5 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of American Frozen Foods Institute and the Frozen Food Roundtable for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Frozen makes my life so easy!  Not that Frozen.  "Let it Go!  Let it Goooo!"  (see what I did there?  Sorry if that song is stuck in your head all day now!)

I love entertaining, I love throwing parties and I love having friends over.  But, sometimes there's just not time to prepare a whole spread.  I was recently tasked for shopping the frozen foods isle and options from some of my favorite brands like ConAgra Foods, Hillshire, Nestle and Pinnacle.  Frozen. How Fresh Stays Fresh.  THAT Frozen!  ðŸ˜‰

There is a whole world in that isle!

There are countless benefits to using frozen foods.  One is convenience, of course.  Another one of the many benefits of frozen foods is that freezing acts like a natural pause button, suspending the fresh ingredients until the moment that we need them.  So, now when I want an impromptu get together, I can pull some tasty party foods out of the freezer.  Whalaa.  Par-tay!

No one could resist the Lean Cuisine Jalapeno and Jack Stuffed Pretzels by Nestle.  Party food that is lower in calories!  YES PLEASE!   And then of course there are TGI Friday's Mozzarella Sticks.  Can't go wrong with those delicious crowd pleasers.  Gone in a flash at every party.

I typically fall more on the fresh side of the fresh vs frozen debate.  But, after trying some of the foods in the frozen isle, I can see myself using more of them.  Why is it such a big deal?  Fresh when you can, but frozen is great, too.  I freeze all kinds of veggies from my own garden, why not have a looksie in the frozen foods isle.  I found some great things there.

We enjoyed quick and filling breakfasts a few days last week without me having to cook anything!

The Hillshire Delights by Jimmy Dean Sandwiches are amazing, quick and hearty.  They are a satisfying way to start the day and under 300 calories.  And you can't go wrong with the classic Eggo waffle and some real maple syrup.

And maybe have the girlfriends over for a lunch date.  These Cafe Steamers from Healthy Choice and ConAgra are delicious!  So good.  This one had a balsamic sauce that was just fantastic.  Frozen food from quality brands are made from real recipes and real ingredients.  I mean, the TOP CHEFS made this recipe!  YEAH!

There really is something for every occasion.  We had an Asian night and these Pinnacle Steamfresh Birds Eye veggies were a hit.  Kids can't resist tiny corn!  No one can!

So, don't neglect the frozen foods isle.  There are so many great things in there that you might be missing.  Make your life easier.  Go Frozen!

I use frozen foods all the time – they’re really convenient – Schwann’s is a great source for that too! They’re affordable and they deliver to your door1

Frozen food does make life easy, especially when you want to cook fun but quick meals and don’t have the time to chop. Great to keep on hand too, when they go on sale.
