Hello again friendly ‘A Bird and A Bean’ readers. It’s me, Amy. I am back today with a new FREE PRINTABLE for you. I hope you like it.
I looked high and low for a fun bucket list for the boys and I to work through this summer. I did find a few that were lists, but I was looking for more of a calendar so the boys could see what day we are going to do different activities. I never found one to suit our needs. So, I decided to make one!
And I’m sharing it with you!
I made a Customizable ‘Summer Bucket List’ Calendar. It includes blank, June, July and August 2014 calendars and two pages of summer bucket list icons so you and the kids can sit down together and make some awesome plans. There are extra squares so you can make your own events, too.
Make sure you look over the events and cross off the ones that won’t work for your family. Like, if the closest Art Museum is 4 hours away and out of the question, then cross that one off and make your own option that will work for your schedule.
I’m sitting down the the kids today to work on this together. They are so excited!
I plan on writing things on the calendar first. (Like vacation week, swim lessons, birthday parties, and VBS week). And then we can fill in our plans around those things. I love that they can see how long the summer is at a glance and what we will have planned.
Of course, we will remain flexible for spontaneous adventures too, but it’s helpful to see the whole summer at once.
I also made a ‘Free Printable Book Series’, to help keep those summer reading skills up. You can check it out here.
Have a great summer!!
Amy is a daytime graphic artist and full-time mother, wife and daughter. She has two adorable boys who fill her days with dirt, noise and love. She quit practicing architecture and took up graphic design to spend more time with her boys. She couldn’t find the perfect birth announcement for her first baby, so she made her own and hasn’t looked back since! Designing the perfect invitations and prints for people’s special events is much more fulfilling and fun for her than designing stairwells and bathrooms.
