I recently had the fun opportunity to go to a blogger event at Venice on Vine in downtown Cincinnati. It was such a great night out with friends and the food was fantastic. We got a delicious sampling of their restaurant and catering menu. I got even more than I bargained for when I learned more about the heart behind Venice on Vine.
(Awe, Look at Adventure Mom and The Food Hussy being so cute!)
I had no idea that Venice on Vine was anything other than a cool pizza place downtown with delicious food. I was so surprised to learn that they are owned by Power for Progress, which is a non-profit with an awesome city-changing mission. They provide job skills and on the job training to people in need. They are investing in people and investing in our city.

And they make ridiculously delicious food!
We got to try an amazing salad with feta, almonds and berries. A delicious African Vegan Stew with so many great veggies. Chicken Marsala. Shrimp Alfredo Pizza (which I didn’t take a picture of because I ate it first!) And fabulous homemade desserts including Sweet Potato Pie, Carrot Cake and Dutch Apple Bundt Cake with Caramel.

I totally didn’t get pictures of the pizza or chicken marsala, either, because I digged in so quickly! Gosh, this place was so good! I definitely want to go back again soon! 🙂
