Goddess Garden Natural Sunscreen {Giveaway}

May 17, 2013 by Erin 18 Comments

I am in love with this new product from Goddess Garden Organics.  LOVE it.  And I get to give one away to one of you!  YAY for the Goddess Garden Natural Sunscreen Giveaway.

Have you seen my kids?  They are so pale that they’re almost transparent!  I have no idea where they could have gotten that trait!  hahaha.  OK, yes, they get it from me AND my husband.  Poor kids.  They had no chance of a nice olive complexion   We’re all as pale as vampires.  But we don’t get all nice and glittery in the sun, instead we just burn or get a gorgeous pink “tan”.  That’s about all we can do.  haha.  But, I HATE sunscreen!  Like really HATE it.  It’s so full of toxic chemicals and harmful cancer causing stuff, that we would rather take our chances.  Did you know that when you put petro-chemicals and toxins on your skin (like lotions) it goes right into your blood stream and then into your cells.  No thank you!

Just look at that pale little face (skeptical of me spraying him)….next to my husbands pale arm!  haha  They match!

I typically only put coconut oil on my kids when we’re going to be outside a lot and it does keep us from getting burned.  But, when we go to the pool or beach, I do want more protection.  So, I buy the organic sunscreen with no chemicals, but I have to remember to apply it well before we leave the house,  then I have to reapply it a lot through the day  and it’s SOOOO THICK and goopy.   It’s like trying to rub sticky white paint into our skin!  Gross.  And then of course all the sand and dirt and grass gets stuck in it for the rest of the day.

Green Goddess is really different.  It’s the first to market continuous spray so it is super easy to apply.  We used it at the ballpark last weekend and it really is so easy to use and so easy to love.  It’s nice to know my kids are protected on those days we spend hours and hours in direct sun.
