If you are looking for some great Christmas gift ideas for kids, look no further! Check out our list. I’m going to share with you our very favorite toys, the ones that get played with again and again and again. I do a lot of research before buying or asking for anything. I mean A.LOT.OF.RESEARCH. Seriously, an embarrassing amount of review reading and internet searching. And these are our favorites……

We were given this bike as a gift from my parents when the bird was just one year old. I had never heard of such a thing, then. She mastered it in weeks and graduated straight from the Strider to a regular two wheel bike with NO training wheels when she was 3! It teaches kids to balance first and pedal after. I guess we all learned backwards. It’s AMAZING! Check out the reviews and video on Amazon. Or check out the bird and the bean here! ;)
2. Magna-Tiles ($50 and up)
We don’t actually own these, but my sister does and they are fab. They have magnets on the edges which let the kids build some really fantasticly huge things. They are a very open ended toy and can be incorporated into almost any game. Seriously hours of play a day.
3. Wedgits ($15-$30)
More blocks, I know. We don’t have these yet, but they are on my list to get for the kids for Christmas this year (geez I better get on that!) . I’ve wanted to get them for a while now, ever since I first read the reviews. They seem to be an instant hit with kids and parents alike. And we just love blocks. The reviews are amazing.
5. Rody the horse (or donkey) ($50)
Man, we just love Rody. My in laws got this guy for the bean when he turned one and he still gets played with almost daily THREE YEARS LATER!!! :) Now that is a great toy!
6. Nabi Tablet ($199)
My kids love to play with my parent’s ipads. So, I knew I wanted to get them a tablet of some kind. I did TONS and TONS of research on the kids tablets and decided this is the one for us. It can grow with them. We asked Santa for this (aka Grandma and Grandpa P.) this year. ;)
7. Metallic Crayons ($4.00)
Good Old Crayola. I just know the bird will love these. I’ve never tried these, but the reviews are great and so is the price. I ordered them and they are wrapped and under the tree already!
8. Oil Pastels ($6.00)
More Crayola. You can’t really go wrong with Crayola! Lucie loves art supplies and she just loves these pastels. They make every picture special and just….. better.
9. Legos
I have recommended this box of legos before. And I still do. Best bang for your buck. But this year, I am thinking of getting the bird this new “friends” version. Legos and horses……a girl’s dream come true!
10. Plasma Car ($60)
I was lucky enough to find this at a yard sale this summer. AMAZING! It is such a fun car. We leave it at my mom’s house and the kids go crazy for it. I mean, just click on the picture and read the reviews……like 5 stars out of 700+ reviews……crazy!
11. Breyer Horse
Lucie is getting this for Christmas. When people ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she always says “Veteranarian” or “Zoo Keeper” So, a horse with a vet kit. Come on. I can’t wait till she opens it. She really wanted Butterscotch,
but she is out of our price range at this point and I think this Breyer one looks cooler!
So there you have it……ome of our favorite toys!
What do your kids play with again and again? I would love to know!

Wowzer you have a lot nice gift suggestions.! the 2 yr is a baseball or anything that looks like a baseball, not interested in much of anything else.. The gals like any kind of crafts and their bikes. I would love to get the Nabi Tablet for the kids.. I think they would play with it over and over again
Thanks Karen. How cute that your two year old is so into baseball. We haven’t hit that stage yet, we are all trains and trucks around here!
