The photo challenge this week at A Step in the Journey was bold colors. And it just so happened that my dad and I took the kids to the fair last night. Perfect. Bold colors are all you see at the fair. Well, and rednecks. 🙂 We had so much fun!

We rode some rides, checked out the winning 4-H animals, watched a horse show and a truck tug-of-war, saw a pig scramble and left with a bag of Knights of Columbus Donuts. The best!
It was hard to choose one bold color picture that I liked the best. I really like the ones with the carousel mirror for some reason.
I’m hopefully getting a new lens soon and I can’t decide between the 50mm and the 35mm fixed focus prime lens. I have a Nikon D40. Advice?
