Becky’s pretty cupcakes – She even used fondant!
Jonathan is showing Sam how it’s done!
He looks like a pro with his new golf clubs.
Babies everywhere!my cute Grandpa.
This birthday party was a few weeks ago -it was pretty cute and fun. I do love theme parties. The bird’s first birthday theme was strawberries and her second was the zoo.
For the boy – I did airplanes. I scraplifted the invitation idea from a friend who did her daughters with the same words – but with butterflies.
I loved her idea – so, it all started with the card.
I wanted to use sidewalk chalk and make a runway in the driveway, but it was raining. I made signs for the food table that read “In Flight Snack” and “Baggage Claim” for the gift table. There were little toy airplanes suspended with helium balloons and paper airplanes sitting all around.
We also had this funny balloon rocket that launched balloons around the house and outside. The
kids dads got a huge kick out of that! My favorite part was the banner I made for the fireplace with a picture of the bean from every month. I also made one with his picture when he was 3 So cute. I reused the banner and hats that Tracy and I made for Luc’s party. So, that was a huge time saver.
I also delegated the cupcakes to my friend Becky who is a MUCH better baker than I. They were SO pretty and SO delicious. They had a filling! She is a rock star. Thanks Beck. She used this recipe from Giada DeLaurentis.
The boys were watching the Derby.
I put up pictures of both the bird and the bean at 3 month intervals – because I’m a dork like that… and I had matching shirts for them at those ages and I like to see the differences.
