Lucie and I made some fun and super easy Valentines this year.
Lucie peeled the crayons and separated them by color.
Then, I broke them into little pieces and put them in the heart mold (ice cube tray from the dollar store).
Next, I put them into the oven at 275 until they were melted (about 10 minutes – but we checked every few minutes).
We froze them for an hour or so and popped then them out.
I wrapped them up in clear cellophane with ribbon and put a cute tag on them.
Lucie colored the back of the tags. They read, “You melt my heart! Have a colorful Valentine’s Day.”
They turned out pretty cute. She loved to color with the extra ones. It was a fun (and oh so easy) project. I have been really enjoying the new phase of Lucie and her love of all projects. Funny little bird.
